Self-help

People often feel confused and helpless when they are diagnosed with non-epileptic attacks. They are told that they can’t be treated with medication and may assume that there is nothing that can be done.

However, there are lots of things that can help with your attacks and improve your life. You can do some of these things yourself. Your friends and family can help as well. Remember, even if your attacks continue, you can lead a full and active life. You can learn to cope with your attacks in a similar way to how people deal with uncontrolled epilepsy.
